The following pictures are from Major Carl "Kayo" Wuertele, 1914-2000. Kayo and his wife Helen were stationed at Hickam Field on December 7, 1941. Kayo was the pilot of a B-17 Flying Fortress named Hel-En-Wings, for his wife. He flew over 100 missions before he was wounded over Rekata Bay in the Solomons on October 25, 1942.
