2nd Lt. Robert L. Stone was a member of the 7th Air Force, 11th Bombardment Group (H), 431st Bomb Squadron and he flew 40 combat missions as a Bombardier on a B-24 Liberator. Most of the missions were flown on the “Flying Jenny”. The following information was submitted by Ali Adair from a book she co-authored with her mother Sheila Stone.
