26th Bomb Sqd
Wheeler Field, T.H.
Dec. 23, 1941
Dear Mother
Well I am still alive. We had a little excitement here Dec 7th. I got a sliver of steel in my upper leg but it wasn't much. I have been working pretty hard since Dec 7th and feel like a million dollars. I could lick Horiatio with my bare hands I believe. I can't tell you as much as I would like to but I will say that we got our share of the Bombing over at Hickam. We have to moved to Wheeler Field now as you probably can see by the new address.

Johnniy Chase is ok. Not a scratch. He says he is working like mad also. It is hard to believe that we are in War now.
I received your letters but not the M.O. nor the boxes as yet. I also got a letter from Edna Donaldson.
Well I guess I will close now as we have got to "Keep em Flying."

Your Son
Daniel
P.S. I am sending a M.O. for $75.
